This Week's Journal
What If the People You Put on Pedestals Didn't Belong There?
Once upon a time, there was a woman who believed in magic.
She believed in love, adventure, and beautiful promises. But more than anything, she wanted someone who could finally make her feel safe.
And then she met three gods.
First Came Kronos.
The most beautiful god she had ever seen.
Handsome. Powerful. Magnetic.
She thought she had finally found her protector.
But Kronos was the god of time and control.
And he wanted to control hers.
He loved her light, but only when it didn't outshine his own. As his jealousy grew, love became possession.
Until she realized that even the most beautiful cage is still a cage.
Then Came Dionysus.
The god of ecstasy and intoxicating love.
He swept her into a world of adventures, laughter, and unforgettable nights.
She danced beneath the stars and fell deeply in love.
But Dionysus carried storms inside him.
Behind the beautiful highs were devastating lows, leaving wounds that even the sweetest memories couldn't heal.
She kept hoping the storms would pass.
But some storms belong to the people who carry them.
So she walked away heartbroken, still searching for peace.
Finally, Cupid Appeared at Her Door.
The god of love, promising paradise.
He spoke of a world where strangers became family, love was unconditional, and even the impossible seemed possible.
It sounded like heaven.
So she followed him.
But behind the glittering gates, she found cruelty disguised as kindness, judgment disguised as belonging, and endless demands disguised as community.
Because sometimes hell looks exactly like heaven, until you're trapped inside.
And suddenly, the illusion shattered.
Kronos offered protection. It became a cage.
Dionysus offered passion. It became a storm.
Cupid offered paradise. It became hell.
So she gathered the little strength she had left and ran.
But when she stopped to catch her breath, she realized something extraordinary.
The kingdom surrounding her was the very kingdom she had built with her own hands, her tears, and her magic.
They had never been gods.
She was the one who put them on pedestals and handed them the keys.
So she took back the keys and closed the gates behind them.
After all, the kingdom had never needed a god to rule it.
It had its queen all along.
